This is for couples who simply want to make it official and get their marriage license signed — without the impersonal courthouse vibes or an audience.

*I mainly offer this at our property near Tiffin, Ohio, but I do offer limited travel signings, too — details below.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

When you get here, you’ll stretch your legs and take a nice deep breath of fresh country air, then we’ll have a seat and get right to the essentials to make it official (in boring terms, it’s the declaration of intent, the pronouncement, and the marriage license signing).

Once the legal stuff is done, I’ll take a couple celebratory pics for you before you head out. Simple does not mean forgettable, so I want to make sure you have a “we got married!” photo to look back on.

You’ll be married and on your way to celebrate in about 10 minutes.

And I know that the “what should we wear??” question is swirling around in your head.

Wear the dress or wear the pajamas — it doesn’t matter here.
Either way, you’re getting married.

HERE’S WHAT WILL HAPPEN

  • I’ll ask if you want to marry each other and you both say “I do” (the declaration of intent)
  • You can say a few words to each other and exchange rings if you’d like (totally optional)
  • I’ll say that you’re married (the pronouncement)
  • You can smooch if you’d like (also optional, but fun)
  • I’ll take a couple quick “we did it!” photos for you (and email them to you later)
  • I’ll sign your license

Simple, relaxed, and short — you’ll be on your married way in no time.

I’ll also file your marriage license for you, so you can start celebrating before the ink even dries.

You could go to the courthouse, stand in a gray hallway, and get shuffled through the process like an assembly line.

Or, you could come here and make it official in a way that actually feels good.

Same legal outcome, very different experience.

THINGS TO KNOW

  • Cost is $150 and due in full to book your appointment
  • Payment is non-refundable, but I’m happy to reschedule if something comes up
  • Appointments available Tuesday–Friday, late morning through early evening (times are flexible)
  • Ohio does not require witnesses, so this is just for the two of you
  • Photo IDs and a valid marriage license are required
  • A photo of your valid marriage license is required before your appointment
  • I’ll email you confirmation that your license was filed, along with your “just married” photos
  • Located in Attica, OH — I’ll send the exact address once you’re booked
  • If severe weather makes it unsafe for us to meet, we’ll reschedule your signing to another day

If you’d rather meet at your favorite watering hole or some other special location (park, restaurant, etc.) to make it official, I can do that too!

Everything works the same except:

  • Traveling service is only offered within ~35 minutes one way of my home base (Attica, OH)
  • Cost is $175 and due in full to book your appointment
  • I currently only offer travel signings at public locations (parks, restaurants, etc.). I am not available for private-home signings.

One of the things I love about this area is that there’s plenty to explore if you want to turn your Signing Day into a little local adventure!

We’re less than an hour from Lake Erie, and we’re really close to lots of beautiful parks and nature areas.

And if getting hitched made you hungry, there are plenty of great places nearby to grab lunch, dinner, or a celebratory ice cream cone.
